Metalic Web

Caught this web on the corner of my house and decided to play with it in Photoshop. I liked the metalic look.

  5. Wonderful post-processing! It's very surreal and.. not exactly futuristic, but stylized.. sort of reminiscent of the first Spider-Man movie and its beginning sequence.

I love webs, but never find the proper kind around here to shoot, or find them at the right time of day.

  8. So why bother doing these wretched PaD blogs? I wrack my brain and desperately post some inane snapshot and YOU have TWO PaD sites with award-winning quality shots on BOTH!

I was totally captured by your web, Faye. A gorgeous image!

  9. That's a spider web? It looks like rope!!! What a fantastic job - I was impatient for the browser window to finish opening so I could see the rest.

This is really excellent - you should submit this somewhere else for a contest or at least POTD.

  16. Thanks for the comments. Its a real web covered with rain not frost.

Basically I removed the color, cranked up the contrast and played with solarization.

Was taken with my Canon Compact-Macro EF 50mm 1:2.5
