Abandoned

Coming home from the coast, we discovered this beautiful, old, large, abandoned house. It looks like Christmas trees are planted in front of it. I really, really, really want to explore this house and take some close up shots, but its on private property with a fence and a gate. Would you love to explore it too?

  1. Faye! You have to find out who owns it and get permission to get inside. We need to see it. Isn't this incredible? I wonder who lived in such a grand old house? Is there a sign somewhere? Great capture. Where is this located? Lotsa questions, eh? Nita

  2. That's too gorgeous of a house to be abandoned. You really peaked my interest. Love the pictures and showing the closer one in b&w lets the wood textures pop.

  5. Nice shots. While I like the detail shown in the second one, the first one is my favorite of the two.

  6. It would be a fun place to explore and photograph. I can't imagine just walking away from our house and leaving it to the elements...

  11. I so agree with nita... I'd love to see the inside of this building. But these are great shots also... especially No. 2, which works really well in black & white.

  12. .......on second thought. Maybe if we were inside, the romance and mystery of this old house would fade.

    Let me think a minute.

    NOT. :)

Oh, I'd love to peek inside. Let's have a field trip, Faye. All of us.

  14. Nita its not that far really. About 30 miles west of Eugene.

OK everyone, meet in Eugene Saturday morning and we'll carpool out there. Bring bail money... just in case.

Nita when you get your new camera we'll go for sure.
