Annie, yes we did!

We did get covered with snow today. It was so beautiful. So I grabbed my camera, skipped a couple hours of work and headed to high ground. The good thing is that I had the roads all to myself. The bad thing is that the reason I DID have the roads all to myself was because they looked like this.
snowroad

I got so many shots I really like but I won't lay them all on you at once.

In a few places I ran into blizzard conditions

I hope the snow isn't all gone in the morning.

  8. Thank you Faye for sharing these wonderful snow scenes with me. I'm feeling very deprived this year, deprived of the wonderful drama that winter can bring, when it wants to. Winter isn't bringing any drama here this year, I guess.

  15. The mailbox is my favorite, too, but all of them are excellent, Faye! I love the detail in the falling snow. Hope you weren't shooting while driving in this :-) What a beautiful day - glad you took a few hours off work for this!

  17. I don't know where my comment went, so I will try again. All of these are fabulous shots. I can feel the cold and the thrill of being there. My son in Salem said it was snowing too. He was taking his 3 year old out to experience it really for her rememberance of the first time.
Incedently I think the mailbox would make a great Christmas card.

  19. Faye, these are great. About time someone else got hammered with snow. It's nice that you're out in the country. I'm in the city and all we have is piles of brown snow. So, yours are show that snow and blizzards can be very beautiful.
