Beside a Country Road

Those old cars are parked near Camas Valley, Oregon. Does anyone know what they are?.. Or I should say were..

  1. There are some wonderful hues and details in this image. I would like to see a close up of the cars (or a car) against that building.

  2. I think the one on the far left is a Buick around 1963 the other two look like they are the same age and maybe Hudsons. Not sure. Excellent capture though.

  3. Lovely colours. Looks like they were forgotten by "Grease" heros.

  4. Blogging one more time before I wing off tomorrow. Great shot. Love the color of the barn, esp. as it is duplicated on the cars.

  5. Mike, I did get some closer shots. I'll get one posted.

Other Mike, thanks for the information.

Rennie, you're right! They look like they could have been in Grease.

Kate, I miss you already! Hope you get a blog up and going fast in Mexico!

  7. that is so cool, I love old cars...here on the east coast there are no cars like this just sitting around, the rust would simply have turned them to the dust. Nice picture, close-up would be cool too. The two on the right I'm pretty sure are 52-54 Ford's

  8. Nice shot, I like the bright coloured wall between the rusty roof of the building and the cars.

  9. The lineup of the rusty cars against the barn and rusty roof is a perfect shot. Love the colors and the grittiness of the shot.

  11. You ask if we know what they are. I think they are someone's collection and that someone is no longer interested or able to care for them. One day he, or she, will come out to see them and they will have melted into the earth.

I know whereof I speak for this happened to an old car. I looked every few years and finally, it was gone. Simply gone. I guess it buried itself.

I know my answer to your question sounded a bit facetious - but I don't know the type of auto each is.

  15. This is a brilliant shot. The contrast of the first two cars and then the "almost" blending of the third one is just captivating as all get out. I look forward to seeing more! (BTW, the other shots on this page are amazing too) :P
