Chapman Children

You have to wonder what the story is here. Two Chapman children born more than 30 years apart who died at a young age.

I discovered this old cemetary a few weeks ago. It was very cold and I didn't have a warm jacket so I just got a few shots but I intend to get back to it soon.

Wonder what the story is behind those gravestones?

  3. Faye, makes me think about the family, and also about the way in which different cultures honor their dead.

  4. Hi Faye,

Sometimes I just stroll through old cemetaries and dream about life in years gone by. And death and grief of parents and children. There are a lot of lessons to be learned through these visits.

  5. I find old cemetaries so fascinating. There is so much history and hidden stories. I wonder if any research can be done on the headstones.
Your photo is really nice. I like the moss growing on the first monument.

  10. Old cemeteries in particular hold so many interesting stories-but they're all locked away and it's often impossible to find the key.
