Historic School Site - Roberts Creek #37

A friend told me about this old school. Its only about 5 miles from my home and I couldn't believe I didn't know about it. I've been on the road a few times but its hard to see if you aren't looking for it. I would love to know the history behind it but I can't find anything so far.

I messed with it some in Photoshop

  9. There must be info on the school archived someplace since it has a historical marker.
The way you sleuth out old barns and goodies, I'm surprised you hadn't found this gem. Way to go. I can see a whole series coming from this site.

  10. I'm glad you got a photo of this interesting place. By the looks of the roof, it doesn't have much longer to be standing there, posing for you.

    I've got to get photoshop!

  11. Thanks for all the comments :)

Distilled, Roberts Creek Road is a road by Roberts Mountain which is SE of Roseburg Oregon. Its just a country road with mostly farm land on each side.

I haven't really considered doing a book but am considering making a calender of old barns.

Rene', welcome back. Been missing you :)

Annie, I'm afraid I have to agree. This old school isn't going to be around long unless someone does some work on it.

Sue, at this point I don't have enough photos for a series but I'll get back out there soon.

Now, what an amazing photo today! I really like historic buildings. I sure wonder what went on in there many years ago.
