Thank You

When I count blessings for which I am thankful, you are right at the top of my list. What a wonderful, unique group of people you are. You live in all parts of the world, come from many different backgrounds and span many generations. Most of you, I have never nor will ever meet in person and yet the world is a smaller more wonderful place because of each of you.

Your visits and comments on my blog reach out across the miles and embrace me as you share your friendship, kindness, caring and love. A year ago today I was in the hospital having surgery. When I shared with you about my cancer, I was so in awe (and still am) by the outpouring of love and caring you showered on me. I’m still brought to tears when I think about it.

By sharing on your blogs, you allow me to come into your lives in at least a small way. When I visit your blogs I get to see amazing sights I would never be able to see in any other way. I get to learn about your cultures, your towns, your families and sometimes get a glimpse of who you are.

Thank you Friends.

I am thoroughly convinced that if all our world leaders were bloggers we would finally achieve world peace. :)

  5. Happy Thanksgiving to you Faye. Obviously its not something we celebrate in South Africa, but I know what it is about and how much it means to you.
I agree. Through blogging I have also "met" wonderfull people who show me the world they live in and which I may never see. I am thankfull to have blog friends like you who come and visit my blog on a regular basis AND who makes comment. It is a honour to show people like you the world I live in. People who don't just pop in, but also appreciate what they see. Enjoy your holiday and I hope we will be seeing some Thanksgiving "food porn" afterwards.

  6. and Happy Thanksgiving to you!! I realllyyyy like the fog photo below- and the story of the trucker who gave you a thumbs up. That was precious.

  7. Happy Thanksgiving to you too. That was a touching post. Blogging has really brought us closer at least virtually.

  8. Faye, my world is richer having you for a friend. We have much to be thankful for.
    Happy Thanksgiving Day and always.

  9. Thank you, Faye. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. We began our day by helping deliver 15,000 Thanksgiving dinners to needy families. Yup! That's correct...15,000 delivered by 5,000cars with 3 dinners in each driven by volunteers. (My husband and I were one of the caravan). Organized beautifully. More tomorrow on my blog! Come visit to see the operation.

  10. I agree wholeheartedly with you on all of the points you made.
I'm so glad you mad it through your difficult cancer time. We missed you and were so thrilled when you returned.
There is so much to be thankful for and my cup runneth over.
Hope you had a super day.

  11. Happy belated Thanksgiving to you my friend.

Your post is most touching and your last paragraph is spot-on. Through blogging I have found that the common people the world over typically want the same thing; just to be left alone to live their lives in peace as they see fit.

  12. Happy Thanksgiving Faye! What a beautiful post! I am thankful for you, too!!

  13. Happy belated Thanksgiving, Faye. Very well said and extremely true. I second what Salty says.
