In A Portland Rose Garden

When I visited my friend, Darlene, in Portland, she took me to a beautiful garden called Peninsula Park Rose Garden. The roses were gorgeous. The entire park was fantastic.

  1. Breath-taking roses and the textures of the wall are super. I love the dirt at the bottom of the spindles.

  2. The roses are very beutiful. Here winter is creeping in through every crack and open window and there aren't many flowers around. Although the aloes are about to flower.

  3. We have a similar rose garden in Minneapolis, which I haven't visited yet this year, but your photos of the flowers reminds me of what I am missing. They're beautifully photographed and presented.

  6. Sorry to have not mentioned it before... but it's great to have you back, Faye.

I know my tastes are a bit on the weird side, but despite all the beautiful rose pictures, I can't seem to stop gazing at the moss and weeds growing beneath the cement posts in the top picture. The roses are pretty to be sure, but they don't grab me like the first picture does. Great shot.

  7. I agree with Sam. :) My favorite photo is the first, and the rustic sense of life growing is what gets me. Perfect.
