Wishing

I wish I had a house at the end of this road.... A big old two story house with a wrap-around porch.... a few chickens scratching in the back yard.. and a noisy rooster to wake me at dawn. I wish frogs and crickets sang in chorus late into the night and a little stream ran by (that never overflowed it banks) with rippling water to lull me to sleep each night.

I wish I knew what was at the end of this road....

  1. Many years ago I bought a painting, very similar to your wonderful photo, and everytime I looked at the painting, I'd wonder what was at the end of the road. Thanks for and old memory.

  2. Well, I didn't really care what was at the end of that road until you took a picture and then began yammering about it! Now, I'm dying to know what's at the end of the road.

    Thanks a lot!

Aw...you already know, you're just funning with us, right?

Actually, this is a great post and I loved your very fine commentary!

And your comment on Florida Fotos was funny. "Over medium" indeed!

  3. Now that sounds like a smashing idea. For some reason I like road pics like this. If you don't know where the road is leading it does add that sense of mystery to it.

  7. Sounds to me like it's time to take a meander down said road and find out wherefore it leads.

  11. I don't know how I missed this post. Your dream house sounds wonderful-- even the rooster. This photo is gorgeous. (Is your house at the end of this road?)
